Food: 4 We ordered a shredded bamboo shoot with pork, House Chicken, spicy bean paste with fish. Already had their other popular dishes include beef roll, green onions pancakes, seafood noodles, pot stickers dumplings. I requested low salt and oil (still a little oily) and it was delicious. Service: 3 Although it's a smaller restaurant with only 2 wait staff, they were so busy to have to wave down for refill tea and ask for boxes. Very simple service with good attitudes, unlike some other restaurants staff would not even look when waved. Bring tea and plate setting, take food order, bring the food out. Ambience: 3.5 The restaurant a clean, quite small with about 10-15 tables inside the 99 Ranch plaza.

Located in the 99 Ranch Plaza. House special chicken: loved the sauce!!! Chicken was a bit dry but so good with the special sauce. Potstickers, beef roll were delicious. Couldn't stop eating them. Beef noodle: noodle itself was not that great. Soup was a bit too sweet. Black bean noodle: big portion. Taste was decent but not that memorable. I'd come back to try more of their dishes, especially the dumplings.

New Golden City is located inside the 99 Ranch Market in Rowland Heights. I've been coming here with my family since I was just a kid and their food and generous portions haven't changed a bit. When I visit the area, this place is one of my top choice to grab a meal at! My favorites are their Hot and Sour soup and the Shredded Pork w/ Peking Sauce! This place is an authentic Chinese restaurant so please don't be too startled at these odd translations for their dishes. Delicious homemade food. Best veggie dumplings I've had in a while! It does have eggs not for vegans but there are other delicious options like their braised tofu with bamboo! They were so good i ordered another order for my vegetarian husband and a seafood set for my mom. I am totally coming back. Great nice service unlike the rude happy family restaurant next door who's server lady was reason i walked out from there

I recently tried the orange chicken and combination fried rice here, and it was an absolute delight! The orange chicken had the perfect balance of sweet and tangy flavors, and the crispy texture was spot on. As for the combination fried rice, it was a flavorful medley of shrimp, chicken, and vegetables, all mixed with fragrant, perfectly cooked rice. Together, these dishes made for a truly satisfying and delicious meal that I can't wait to enjoy again!

Green Onion Pancake--- still as good as before. Crispy on the outside and very flavorful. Must have when you're here. Spicy Seafood Noodle Soup is still as good as before covid. Noodles is cooked to perfection with the spicy seafood soup and abundant of seafood ingredients, like octopus legs, shrimps, veggies, etc. So good! Free hot tea. Decent prices. Restroom in the back of the restaurant. Parking is free. Location is inside the building. Service is quick.

Small family owned businesses like New Golden City is the reason why I post Yelp reviews as this is a place that deserve more business but may get overlooked. The restaurant is inside the 99 Ranch Shopping center at Nogales and Gale. Being inside the main building, you won't see it driving by unless you walk into 99 Ranch market and they are off to the side of the building. They specialize in 'noodle/dough' dishes so some of the must orders (for my family) are the pot stickers, fish dumplings, green onion pancakes, beef rolls, spicy seafood noodles (jian pon if you are Korean) and noodles with soy bean sauce (Zha Jian Mien). But, as you will see from the menu photos, they have family style dishes that pair with good old white rice. The pepper beef dish is maybe the one go to dish and they also make a good hot and sour soup. However, I'm sure all the dishes are good. They have lunch specials and they do to go orders so just phone your order in as there's plenty of parking. They are closed on Wednesdays and also close at 8 pm now despite what the hours say on the front of the menu.

Located inside of the 99 Ranch Market mall, New Golden City is a casual Chinese restaurant serving a decent selection of dumplings, appetizers, and other classics like fried rice and stir fried meats. My friends and I tried their house chicken, xiao long bao, hot and sour soup, and flavorous seaweed. Everything was good, but our favorite was the house chicken, cold chicken sliced and served with a sweet soy sauce and cucumbers. We also liked that you could order the chicken and soup in small or large portions. The flavorous seaweed was surprising in that it had a sweet flavor to it as opposed to the vinegary hot flavor that other spots' seaweed salads typically have.

They have northern Chinese / Chinese-Korean style food - dumplings and noodles are good here! This restaurant is inside the 99 Ranch Market off Nogales and Gale. This plaza is slowly dying, but I'm glad to see this restaurant is still here. Parking - You should park on the Gale side (across from Sun Nong Dan plaza). If you park near Happy Harbor, then you have to walk inside the grocery store/mall and make a left at the fountain. Kung pao chicken - must try! I love this dish here. It sounds so simple, but it's so good. Jjampong (seafood noodle soup) - noodles are chewy, soup is flavorful. Get it spicy! Fish dumplings - delicious. Ask for vinegar and soy sauce. Scallion pancake - delicious. They cut this for you. Beef rolls - ok. The roll was delicious but could have had more meat. The pancake they use to wrap the roll is better than the one they have at 101 Noodle Express. (101 Noodle Express ones have more beef though). Service was good. There was one lady who was really nice. The other bossier lady was not as nice.

This is definitely one of my new favourite no frills Chinese places in the area! We ordered the jellyfish appetizer, the pork and cabbage dumplings, and the beef roll. All of them were great and I would definitely order them again. We ate in early and there were quite a few other tables there, but there were also tons of take out orders. The service and ambience and both standard for what you'd expect from a classic Chinese restaurant. Not too much more to say - this place is simple, and it hits the perfect spot when you're wanting some real Chinese food. It seems like there are a lot of other popular dishes here too besides the ones I tried and loved, so I'll definitely be back to try them out.
